On Monday it was amazinggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg!
I had lots of fun at the natural history museum and I never realised that the museum had around 80,000,000 specimens! I couldn’t believe that the giant squid was that big! I had fun in the work-shop where we investigated the specimens and identified their features. One of my favourite parts was the creepy-crawlies area because all of the insects were so interesting, it was so much fun. The variety show was very interesting and fun, I learned loads of facts from it! My favourite specimen was the fox specimen, but I also liked the giant squid specimen.
Thanks for taking us to the museum Miss Braithwaite! 🙂
My favourite part of the school trip was when we watched the variety show because it was really funny. Also my favourite specimen was the squid because it is really rare and hard to find. I learnt that a squid can grow up to 14 metres long.
It was awesome my favourite part was in the variety show when I found that I was a Homo Sapiens . my favourite specimen was the Turtle .I learnt that a squid can grow up to 14 meters. (=
Yesterday we went to the natural history museum and we learnt a lot about animals and specimens we watched the variety show and we had a workshop we all had a lot of fun.
The trip to the Natural history museum was very amazing. The thing I liked most was the variety show, learning about different animals and what class they belong to.
I think the best thing was the variety show. And the best thing was the bit went we had to observe the stuffed creatures, show cased bugs and the animals. It was fun. My favourite specimen was the fox. 🙂
I had lots of fun at the natural history museum I didn’t know that they had around 80,000,000 specimens! I had lost of fun doing the work shop investigating the specimens 🙂
The trip was amazing it was epic! My favourite part was the variety show and when we investigated bits about specimens. We got to touch turtles and foxes and the t-rex roared loudly! Amazing!
Monday 1st Of December Yr6 went to the Natural History Museum and found out a lot of things about animals and their habitats also we had a little show called the variety show. We all enjoyed it and when it came to the end we saw some photos that were on a big screen we all used 3d glasses and the pictures were amazing! We also watched a video watching what the people of the museum thought about there favourite animal or species. A lot of people in our class gasped about a tree that was massive that could of dropped about 300 hundred seeds but they did not know. We all had a great time touching a fox or turtle and I’m sure every one would like a trip like this again.
I thought the trip was so amazing! My best part is when we went to the biology room .
We went to a workshop and we got to touch real animals! I learnt a new animal that was called longhorn beetle, I thought it was called spotty beetle, because it had spots all over it.
I thought the trip was amazing and interesting because my favourite part of the trip was looking at the specimens as the big giant squid was a specimen. My favourite was when we got to touch the foxes and the turtle. What I learned there was that the habitat of the Green rose beetle is a rose.
On Monday it was amazing because we got to experiment on animals and which animals we human are. And we got to see one of the biggest squid under water. Also the gigantic squid was dying so they had to froze the squid.
Hello and welcome to our school.
On the 1st of December year six visited the Natural History Museum to watch the variety show. It was brilliant. We learnt how to group different animals in further detail. After our delicious lunch we did a work shop and were finding out more about specific living things. If you do go to the Museum please leave a comment down below. we would love to hear from you.:):):):):)
I learnt that a squid can grow more than 9m. I had a lot of fun when I got to see a focal up close with a camera and it looked like a focalised snail. I was really amazed when ben said that the animals were real. there was an moving dinosaur that roars I really had a good time.
I liked the rare, one eyed, giant squid the best because I learned, with it’s two long, powerful arms it can squeeze it’s prey and get a good grip of it that the prey can not escape. Giant squids are endangered because of whales, the one in the National History Museum was caught accidently by a fisherman and died afterwards. It’s one eye helps the squid to see better in the dark, I also think it’s eye helps it to scare off other sea creatures that might want to eat the magnificent, rare beast. The museum has over eighty million specimen which I find amazing. On December the 4th, there is going to be a stegosaurs dinosaur and is the first complete dinosaur skeleton to go on display at the museum in 100 years. It was found complete in America 11 years ago and is the only Stegosaurus on public display outside America.
Your trip sounds fantastic Year 6 and I really enjoyed reading your comments. Would you recommend it to all ages? The giant squid sounds amazing. How large was it?
I would recommend the trip to all ages except for the part based on human biology. The creepy crawlies part is a really good all-rounder and the other parts are also really fun.
I found out that the giant squid can grow up to 14 metres long, however the specimen that the Natural History Museum has is 9 metres long – still MASSIVE though! 😉
Wow Y6 your trip sounds so exciting! I can’t wait to read all about it here on the blog.

I really enjoyed looking at the animals and the last part of the trip. The dinosaur was scary and really big.
