This term Year 3 will be exploring a variety of interesting topics including in Science the topic of ‘Light’.
Already the class have come up with some great questions such as ‘How does the sun make light?’ ‘How are shadows formed?’ and ‘How does the Moon reflect light?’
Can you find the answer to any of these questions?
How does the Moon reflect light?
answer
The moon reflects light from the sun. The moon is not a light source, and it does not make it’s own light we can see the moon because light from the sun bounces off it back to the earth. If the sun wasn’t there, we wouldn’t be able to see the moon.
Yahya, you know lots about the sun and the moon. I am very impressed! 🙂
How does the sun make light?
The Sun produces energy to make light by the nuclear fusion of hydrogen into helium
